Feathers Fur and Fun Expo 2007

The Orange Bird Society attended the 2007 Feathers Fur and Fun Expo at Towac Park Racecourse, Orange on Sunday the 25th of March.

The morning started a bit chilly and cloudy and all involved hoped the rain would hold off. Luckily it did and it warmed up a little as the day progressed. (Although Kaye from http://www.pettalkradio.com/ mentioned once or twice it wasn't like this in Sydney!)

The Bird Society put on a small display of 25 boxes of birds including gang gangs, a peach fronted conure, some varied, scaly and rainbow lorikeets, half a dozen coloured grass parrots, scarlets, blood, masked, plum-headed and pictorella finches.

Lots and lots of people browsed the display and a few had questions about particular species and nutritional requirements. Everyone had a great day and there were some rumors that this "might not" be the last ever pet expo!

Thanks to Morrie Meagher, Tony Ford, Peter Naylor, Gielsa Deasy and Ray Smith for contributing on the day.
